Learn from industry experts representing companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Federated Insurance, and more! Subjects to be discussed include Digital Marketing, Sustainability, Experiential Marketing, Sports Marketing, and more!

Prepare for nationals in New Orleans by participating in competitive events such as Perfect Pitch, Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing Strategy. Judges hail from Microsft, Cisco, Federated Insurance, and more! Students that participate will be competing for a share of the $2000 in prize money being awarded!

The conference will be held on NC State's campus at the state-of-the art Talley Student Union. Concurrent speaker sessions will be occuring throughout the day. The full speaker schedule will be released soon. We'd love to have your chapter represented in Raleigh!

When: 9am - 4:30pm (Note: Check-in and breakfast will begin at 9am and the opening session will begin at 10am)

Cost: $20 for all external AMA members and other guests not affiliated with NC State University, $15 for NC State University students, $10 for NC State AMA members, and free registration for faculty members.

Competition Details

There will be three competitions throughout the conference: Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing Strategy, and Perfect Pitch. Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing Strategy will run simultaneously before the lunch break, therefore students may only choose to participate in one. Perfect Pitch will begin after lunch, which allows students who participate in the morning competitions to also participate in Perfect Pitch. Students that participate will be competing for a share of the $2000 in prize money being awarded!

Marketing Strategy (2 People): View Official Case

Teams prepare a 7 minute presentation on the best marketing strategy, including the target market(s), marketing mix (4 P’s). Be creative! Each team must be comprised of two members. During the presentation no paper or visual guides are allowed and each member must speak for a minimum of 2 minutes. Students participating in the Marketing Strategy competition may not compete in the Digital Marketing Strategy competition, as they are taking place at the same time. Please indicate your partner's name during registration.

Digital Marketing Strategy (2 to 3 People): View Official Case

Teams consisting of 2 to 3 students will be provided client background information for the company sponsoring this competition. Teams will be asked to propose an integrated social media strategy for a new target market. The proposed strategy should include a situation analysis, social media objective/s, social media profile, social media platforms, experience strategy, and metrics. To assist teams in their social media proposals, a reference guide will be provided including social best practices and guides. Details will be sent prior to the competition. Each team will have 7 minutes to present their proposal. Students participating in the Digital Marketing Strategy competition may not compete in the Marketing Strategy competition, as they are taking place at the same time. Please indicate your partner(s) name(s) during registration.

**All visual aids for the Digital Marketing Strategy competition must be completed and sent to ncsuama@gmail.com no later than one week prior to the event (no later than February 6th at 11:59pm)**

Perfect Pitch (1 Person): View Official Case

The goal of perfect pitch is to pitch yourself for a job within a 60-90 second timeframe. Perfect Pitch is an individual competition. Three finalists will have the opportunity to compete in the closing ceremony at the end of the conference. If you are competing in either Marketing Strategy or Digital Marketing Strategy, you may also enter the Perfect Pitch competition.

We suggest that you park at the Colesium Parking Deck located nearby Talley Student Union. The address is 201 Jensen Dr, Raleigh, NC 27606. Parking is free on the weekend!
