Our Chapter
The NC State AMA is an internationally recognized chapter of the American Marketing Association, and the largest business organization at NC State. We are NC State's #1 source for marketing and professional development topics, including networking, LinkedIn, interviewing, and more!
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower NC State students to achieve the careers of their dreams. We accomplish this through professional development, real-world marketing experience, leadership opportunities, and meaningful connections.
What We Do
Member Meetings
We have 14 biweekly meetings for our 160+ members to attend. Each meeting features a presentation from a sponsor or special guest.
Professional Development Events
Our chapter hosts three networking events each year: Meet The Pros, our career fair and professional panel; LinkedIn Workshop, led by LinkedIn executive Rob Humphrey; Business & Billiards, a laid-back networking opportunity.
Regional Conference
This past spring, our chapter hosted our very first regional conference - over six schools and 80 people attended! Our competition includes multiple competitions and sessions with guest speakers, including sponsors and Google.
Other Development Opportunities
Our chapter provides a multitude of opportunities and resources for our members to grow - our professional mentorship program and Creative Marketing Solutions Agency are two examples.

Our Goal
During the 2018-2019 academic year, NC State AMA was able to send 18 students to the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. For the new academic year, we would like to continue growing and provide our members with more opportunities.

Where Will Sponsorship Money Go?
Sponsorship money goes directly to help our members advance their professional skills. Each year, we try to send as many students as we can to the international collegiate conference in New Orleans. This opportunity allows members to build their connections and accelerate/showcase their marketing talent.
New Orleans
The AMA International Collegiate Conference adds a fun twist to professional development. By attending the conference, members have the opportunity to:

Attend expert sessions: Students choose sessions led by renowned marketing experts that suit their interests best.

Network: Career fairs, tabling events, and sessions allow students to connect with companies and fellow collegiate AMA members.

Compete: Multiple competitions (sales, simulations, pitches, etc.)

Showcase Talent: Lastly, our hard work is shown off! During the 2019 conference, our chapter was placed in the Top 25 overall! We also walked out with scholarships as well as awards in videography and a simulation.
